Drum practices in the fields of Commercial Law, Taxation, Conveyancing and Legal Structuring.
Drum was born November 1971 and was educated in Jamaica, Barbados, Switzerland and Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada; Bachelor of Laws (LLB), University of the West Indies, (Cave Hill Campus), Barbados; Certificate of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica, (1999).
Drum worked with the Tax Administration Services Department of the Government of Jamaica (2000-2002) as a Legal Officer, handling tax issues and tax litigation and involved with drafting tax legislation. Drum then joined the Law Firm of Myers, Fletcher & Gordon (2002-2005) in the Commercial Department, focusing his practice on commercial, tax law and on the coordination of the CWC 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup held throughout the Caribbean, and whilst at Phillipson Partners has represented such clients as Knutsford Court Hotels Limited, Stewarts Auto Sales Limited, FFK Insurance Brokers Limited, Stocks and Securities Limited, Total Jamaica Limited, Montego Bay Ice Company Limited and Sol Petroleum (Jamaica) Limited.
Married, with three children, Drum is a founding member of the Jamaica Surfing Association and former National Open Surfing Champion of Jamaica. He currently sits on as Chairman of the Board of Fraser, Fontaine & Kong (Insurance Brokers) and on the Board of the Edna Manley Foundation.
