Heather Lee Matalon

Heather specializes in Corporate and Commercial Law.

Prior to attending the Norman Manley Law School, Heather achieved First Class Honours in Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Laws (Llb) degrees at the University of the West Indies. She graduated Principal’s Roll of Honour from the Norman Manley Law School in 2014 and was called to the Bar in the same year.

Heather’s representational transactions include: syndicated lending arrangements via Bond Issue and/or Note Placement for US$46M ; Commodities Sale and Purchase structuring valued in excess of US$9.2M; Sale of Ethanol plant and assumed liabilities for US$22.5M and subsequent on-sale of related loan for approximately US$10M; as well as various representations in the cannabis industry.

Among her other professional experiences, Heather has worked at the University Hospital of the West Indies at the Department of Psychiatry and was a co-author for a psychology research paper presented at a Caribbean scientific forum in 2014 and submitted in 2019 to Culture, Medicine, and Psychiatry (MEDI), an international, peer reviewed medical journal.
