Phillipson Partners is named after W. Ian Phillipson, our Senior Partner who had a long and illustrious career in the law field. Ian started out in one of Jamaica’s largest and most established Law Firms, where he quickly rose to the position of Partner. In 1995, he together with others, decided to create their own law firm of Patterson, Phillipson & Graham (PP&G). A few years later, with the migration of one of the founding partners, PP&G split and Ian, together with Heather Facey, formed the small firm of Ian Phillipson & Company (“IP&Co.”). The joining of IP & Co. by P.J. Asher, Christopher Dunkley and Drum Manley Drummond marked the birth of Phillipson Partners in 2006.

Ian Phillipson passed away in 2013 and the Partnership of Dunkley, Drummond, Asher continued with Heather Lee Matalon joining in 2021.
